This is a Bugatti 59 (Baby 3), a Bugatti Junior Car built in 2018/2019 at approximately 75% scale. The accompanying document states that this is a Bugatti Junior Car, described as “a work of art.” The builder states that in 1990 he built his first Bugatti baby (Baby 1), a motorized children’s car, specifically for his son Matthijs when he was 10 years old. At the time, Bugatti was building half-scale models of various types. Most models had an electric motor on the rear axle, while a few were equipped with small internal combustion engines at the front.
He also mentions that he built “Baby 2” in 2015 and the last one, “Baby 3,” in 2019. The document is signed by Frans Keukens and dated Oud Beijerland, January 2023.
