Originally Dutch delivered A4 in the S edition Competition version, the most complete sporty variant of the B9 generation with both the exterior and interior package serially on board. The 2.0 TFSI with 149hp is mated to the S tronic automatic transmission with shift paddles, making the driving experience considerably sharper than a conventional automatic. The Competition version is distinguished by the sport seats, black piano lacquer interior trim, ambient lighting and 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels - equipment that would have to be ordered separately with the standard S edition.
