Ferrari 412i GT 5.0 V12 340hp 1990, K-788-PV
The Ferrari 412i is part of a model line that began with the 365 GT4 2+2 and continued with the Ferrari 400, followed by the Ferrari 412 in 1985. These models are V12 2+2 grand tourers that are closely related technically and constructively. They use the same basis in body, chassis and engine, which was further developed over the years.
The type designation, as is common with Ferrari of the period, refers to the displacement per cylinder in cubic centimeters. The Ferrari 400 was the first Ferrari model available with an automatic transmission. In 1979 it was succeeded by the 400 i, equipped with fuel injection. The 412 was produced from 1985 to 1989, concluding Ferrari’s longest-produced model series.
The motorization consists of a 4,944 cc V12, good for 340 hp. This is an engine with an emphasis on smoothness and torque, befitting the car's character as a grand tourer. Moreover, the V12 in the 412i is considered the last Ferrari engine from the Colombo series to be delivered in a production model.
The example offered here is finished in anthracite gray metallic with a burgundy leather/alcantara interior. Limited information is available about the history of this car. Based on the available data, it appears to be one of the last 412’s produced, as production ended in 1989 and this example was admitted in April 1990. As far as can be ascertained, the car was delivered new in Japan and came to the Netherlands in 2021. According to the available documentation, various work has been carried out since then to bring the car back up to technical standards.

Remarks
Limited historical material is available of this car, as mentioned. Paint thickness measurements show that the car was painted in the past.
