7. Particolare tipo di pesca - Giovanni Tommasi Ferroni

The title Particolare tipo di pesca ( A special kind of fishing)  fits well with Ferroni’s often ironic or imaginative paintings. With Ferroni, the title is often half serious, half ironic. As a result, “a particular method of fishing”can have several symbolic layers. In art and literature, fishing often symbolizes seeking knowledge, catching ideasën and seducing or misleading. Thus, an unusual fishing method can have satirical or philosophical significance.
