Pablo Picasso: was born in 1881 in the Plaza de La Merced in Málaga. As early as 1890 Pablo, nine years old, painted in oil, the picador, a bullfighter in the arena; this is considered his first painting. Starting in 1894, Pablo kept a diary, in which he drew portraits and caricatures. Paintings in those years he signed P. Ruiz. The 13-year-old Pablo took entrance exams for the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona. The admission work: drawing a torso, for which he had a month, he completed in ééone day. People were so impressed by this that he was immediately accepted and allowed to skip the first two years of study. At the age of fifteen, Pablo painted a large work (197 ×249.5 cm): Science and Charity.[5] The subject of this: a dying person, with a doctor and a nun at her bedside, harkens back to the death of his sister Conchita. For this he received an honorable mention at an exhibition at the Palace of Arts and Industry[6] in Madrid. Beginning in September 1897, Pablo studied briefly at the highly regarded Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. Since he did not like the education system, after a while he stopped attending classes. However, he did visit the museums, often including the Prado, and the art galleryën.
