‘Becoming Her’ (2024) is the artist's most recent painting, completed just ééone night before the opening of the exhibition Recommencer at the Hoxton Hotel in Amsterdam.
The work is a self-portrait, based on a photograph the artist took of himself with an old digital camera at the age of 16, during a stint in Mexico. Today this image symbolizes the moment when she discovered her creative potential and decided to follow her dreams.
