76. La Reine Amoureux - Simon & Bruno

The French artist duo Simon & Bruno lead irregular and fascinating lives as professional artists. After a period when they traveled between Paris and Strasbourg using, among other things, puppets, they made the development of visual art their main goal. Their work is characterized by a strong power of expression and has been exhibited internationally, including in the United States and Japan.

In addition to paintings, they createdëer logo’s, sculptures and jewelry, often also for charitable purposes. Their motto “simple but effective” is reflected in an unrestrained use of colors, images and geometric shapes. The oeuvre carries a clear message and is seen by many as a form of synthetic symbolism, depicting themes of human drives, materialism and grotesque relationships in existence.

The artworks are primarily from the STIMA collection.

Since 1987, art has been rented and sold to private collectors and advised for corporate collections.
