Maurice Kulsen is a Dutch artist who traded his training as an illustration designer for the art academy in Breda. His background as a designer remains evident in his work through the strong way he composes images. Kulsen uses collage techniques in which existing photographs’s, drawings and paintings are brought together digitally.
His figurative works engage with space and are strongly influenced by ancient painting, both in composition and imagery. He finds inspiration in nature and architecture, telling timeless stories that connect past and present. The result is a layered and intriguing body of work that appeals to a wide audience.
The artworks are primarily from the STIMA collection.
Since 1987, art has been rented and sold to private collectors and advised for corporate collections.
