Slim Aarons (1916–2006) was an American photographer who became world famous for his iconic images of glamour, wealth and elegance. His credo “Attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places” became the common thread throughout his oeuvre. Aarons captured the leisure time of the rich and famous in enchanting settings, managing to paint an intimate and genuine picture of the jet set of the 20th century.

His best-known work, The Kings of Hollywood (1957), is considered a symbol of classic Hollywood glamour. Through his unique access and trusting relationship with his subjects, Aarons was able to create photographs’s that remain among the most beloved portraits of his time. His legacy remains alive, including through publications such as Poolside with Slim Aarons.

The artworks are primarily from the STIMA collection.

Since 1987, art has been rented and sold to private collectors and advised for corporate collections.
