Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) was one of the most eccentric and influential artists of the 20th century. Born in Figueres, Cataloniaë, he evolved from impressionist and cubist influences into hét figurehead of surrealism. His work is characterized by dreamlike scenes, bizarre distortions and unëvailable technical precision.
Dalí’s eccentric personality was as iconic as his art. Known for his gracefully curled mustache, his collaborations with Pablo Picasso, AndréBreton and later even Walt Disney, he managed to uniquely connect art, theater and popular culture. His oeuvre, from paintings and drawings to sculpture and film, remains beloved worldwide and continues to inspire generations of artists and collectors.
The artworks are primarily from the STIMA collection.
Since 1987, art has been rented and sold to private collectors and advised for corporate collections.
