Tasting notes
Garces Silva Amayna – Sauvignon Blanc is the fantastic result of poor soils and a gentle ocean breeze. Together they create a highly aromatic wine. Very intense aroma with floral, green, grassy, and fresh tropical fruit notes. On the palate it is well-balanced, not too sharp, distinctive in character and beautifully elegant.
Garcés Silva Vineyards
The Garcés Silva family were pioneers in producing Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir with a view of the Pacific Ocean. Garcés Silva Vineyards were first planted in 1999 in the Leyda Valley. The family then led a wine revolution in Chile, bringing in passion, talent, business philosophy, and the visions of several family members. In 2002, they released their first wines under the renowned Amayna label. Since 2015, they’ve also released a series of lighter wines under the Boya name.
The distance between the Pacific Ocean and the Garcés Silva Vineyards is about 10 kilometers. This greatly influences grape ripening. Every afternoon, the ocean breeze naturally cools the vines, resulting in more balanced ripening.
