Wine description:
One of Burgundy’s most iconic villages, known for producing complex and age-worthy wines. This cuvée displays a violet-purple hue, with aromas of ripe wild strawberries, tobacco, and refined oak. On the palate: intense flavor, elegant acidity, and impressive power in the finish.

Winery:
The story of Domaine Jean Féry began in 1860 when Nicolas Jacob Féry bought a donkey and a small vineyard parcel in the village of Échevronne, located between Beaune and Nuits-Saint-Georges, near Pernand-Vergelesses. The estate has remained in family hands ever since. Today, Frédéric and Laurent Féry have taken over from their father, Jean-Louis.

The estate comprises 10 hectares of vineyards spread across the (Hautes) Côtes de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. In 2014, the family acquired the rights to farm 1 hectare of Meursault-Les Narvaux, expanding their range of high-quality Burgundies. The entire estate has been certified organic (Ecocert) since 2011.

The philosophy at Jean Féry is to produce high-quality Burgundy that remains accessible. Thanks to income from outside the wine business, they’re able to keep prices fair without compromising quality. The family is committed to preserving the estate as a link to their heritage and a legacy for future generations.

Today, the winemaking is led by Laurence Danel, a highly skilled oenologist with experience at prestigious estates including Bouchard Père et Fils and Faiveley. Her deep understanding of terroir, grape varieties, and Burgundy's 'climats' brings exceptional expression to every bottle.
