- Watchmaking technique - The sunray motif provides subtle light reflections on many dials in the Oyster Perpetual collection. It is obtained through masterful brushing techniques, carving grooves that run outward from the center of the dial. The light reflects evenly along the grooves, creating a characteristic, subtle incidence of light that changes with the movement of the wrist. After the sunray motif is applied, the dial is colored by PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) or electroplating. The dial is finished with a thin coat of lacquer.
- Serrated bezel - A typical feature of Rolex. The serrated bezel of Rolex is a sign of distinction. Originally, the serrations of the Oyster bezel had a function: they served to screw the bezel to the case and thus ensure the water resistance of the watch. This is why the serrations were identical to those on the back of the watch, which was also screwed to the case for water resistance with special Rolex tools. Over time, however, the serrations took on a more aesthetic function and became a hallmark of a genuine Rolex. Today, the serrated bezel is a sign of distinction. On this Datejust 41, it is gold.
- Yellow Rolesor - An interplay of two metals Gold is sought after for its luster and class. Steel enhances strength and reliability. Together they harmoniously combine their best qualities. A true Rolex hallmark, Rolesor was used for Rolex watches from the early 30s and was patented as a name in 1933. It is one of the prominent pillars of the Oyster collection.
- The Jubilee strap - Smooth and comfortable The design, development and production of Rolex watch straps and clasps, as well as the rigorous testing to which they are subjected, require advanced high technology. And as with all parts of the watch, aesthetic checks by the human eye ensure impeccable beauty. The Jubilee, a supple and comfortable metal strap with five-part links, was designed specifically for the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust in 1945.
